Cmc Hospital

We are over here on Ida Scudder Road, and if you’ve been around this part of town, you know how it gets with the traffic and the noise. Cmc Hospital has been sitting here for quite a while now. Most mornings start with the sound of shutters going up and the smell of tea from the corner stall coming through the open windows. It isn’t the fanciest building you’ll ever see, but it does what it needs to do. The hallways are long and sometimes the tiles look a bit worn out from all the feet walking over them every single day. People come in from all over, some looking tired and others just trying to find where they need to go. We spend a lot of time giving directions because the layout can be a little confusing if it's your first visit. Sometimes the fans in the waiting area squeak, and we have to give them a poke to stay quiet. It’s just how it is. Our staff mostly just gets on with things without making a big fuss. You’ll see us carrying files or talking to families near the entrance. There’s always someone coming or going. The address is pretty well known around here, so usually, the rickshaw drivers know exactly where to drop you off without you having to explain much. It’s a busy place, honestly, and it never really seems to get quiet even when the sun goes down.
