Basha Stores sits right in the middle of Mgr Nagar here in Kosapet. It’s one of those shops that has been around long enough that people use it as a landmark when giving directions. We keep a variety of goods tucked away on the shelves, and sometimes even I forget exactly where we put the smaller items. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a few customers in at once, but we manage. Kosapet gets quite busy during the festival seasons, and the street outside stays crowded from morning until late at night. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people just know the blue door and the stack of crates outside. It’s mostly just day-to-day work, opening up the shutters and dusting off the counters before the first regulars show up for their morning supplies. My father used to say that a shop is only as good as the stuff it keeps in stock, so we try to stay on top of the inventory, even if the paperwork gets a bit messy sometimes. We don’t use any computers for the accounts, just a big ledger book that stays on the main desk. It works for us. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a rattling noise, but it keeps the air moving. We’re just a local store doing what we can. Every afternoon, the light hits the street in a certain way that makes everything look gold for a few minutes before the evening rush starts.
