Auto Ways

Our place, Auto Ways, is right on the Old By Pass Road in the Vellore Bazaar area. If you know this part of town, you know how crowded and loud it gets on a normal Tuesday afternoon. We are at No:4. It’s a pretty small shop, but we’ve managed to pack a lot of stuff into every corner of the room. Mostly it’s just car parts and various things that people are looking for when their vehicles are having trouble. The street outside is always a mess with traffic and people shouting, but that’s just life in the bazaar. We’ve been at this spot for a good bit of time now. It’s definitely not a shiny showroom like the ones you see in the bigger cities. There’s grease on the walls and the floor has those dark stains that never really come out, but that’s what happens when you’re dealing with auto parts all day. We open up the shutters early and stay until it gets dark. Sometimes we stay later if a regular customer is in a real bind. My hands are usually covered in black oil by ten in the morning. We don't have a website or any of those modern things, we just talk to whoever walks through the front door. People from all over the Vellore area come by because they know the Old By Pass Road well. We have piles of old catalogs and parts boxes everywhere. It takes a while to find things, but we usually know where everything is hidden.
