Skc & Sons is over at 485/B, Kuravapulam, on the road that leads to Katharipulam. It is a family-run thing and has been for a while. You can tell because there are usually a few generations of the family hanging around the shop. We deal with all sorts of things that people in this part of Kuravapulam might need. The shop is a bit cluttered because we hate to throw anything away that might be useful later. We have a lot of shelves and most of them are full. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time mopping the floor. It is not a fancy shop with air conditioning. We just have a few fans going to keep the air moving. We know the names of almost everyone who walks through the door. It is the kind of place where you can stay for a chat even if you are not buying anything. We do not have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and see who comes by. Dealing with the stock takes up most of our time, especially the heavy stuff. We have been at this address for many years and we do not plan on moving. It is a quiet life for the most part, just keeping the business going and helping out the locals who come by. It is just us, Skc & Sons, doing our bit.
