Aayar Farms

Out on Vazhudavoor Road at 4/1, that’s where you’ll find Aayar Farms. It’s a bit of a drive out from the main town center, but we like the space. The work here is tied to the weather and the seasons, so no two days are really the same. Some mornings start before the sun is even up, especially when there’s a lot of physical work to get through. The dirt on the road can get quite messy when it rains, and our boots are usually covered in it. We don't have a fancy office building; it's mostly about the land and the sheds we use for storage. People sometimes stop by asking for directions because the road numbers around here can be confusing. We spend a lot of time checking on the plants or the animals, depending on what part of the farm needs attention that day. It’s quiet work, away from the city noise, though the sound of tractors is pretty common. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write glossy brochures. It’s just a few of us making sure everything is growing like it should. We eat our lunch outside when the weather is nice. The 4/1 plot has been in use for quite a while, and we’ve learned how the soil behaves over the years. It’s hard work and your back usually hurts by the end of the day, but it feels right to be out here on the road and seeing things grow.
