About Student – Metals & Minerals in Vasco Da Gama
Working out here in Goa is a bit different than the big cities. We call ourselves Student, and we operate from a small space that we've had for a few years now. It’s not right on the beach, which is probably good because we wouldn't get any work done otherwise. We are tucked away in a more residential pocket where it’s mostly just locals and a few wandering dogs. The air is always a bit salty and humid, so our papers tend to curl at the edges. We have a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. Sometimes they make a clicking sound that we've just learned to ignore. Our setup is pretty basic—just some wooden tables and chairs that don't quite match. We aren't fancy people. We wear flip-flops to work and take a long break when the sun is at its highest. People sometimes struggle to find us because the roads here can be winding and the signs aren't very clear. We just tell them to look for the house with the bright orange gate. We don't have a massive team or a big corporate plan. We just handle things as they come. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we still make sure the work gets done. Most of the time, we are just happy to be working in such a beautiful part of the country. It’s a slower pace of life, but it suits our way of working just fine.
