STAHLWORX ENGINEERING PRIVATE LIMITED is basically a place where we figure out how to make things work. It’s a lot of technical drawing and then actually welding or machining the parts. We deal with a lot of steel, hence the name. It’s heavy, it’s cold in the winter, and it’s a pain to move around sometimes. We started this because we liked making things with our hands instead of sitting behind a desk all day. We do have desks for the design parts, but they’re usually covered in coffee stains and blueprints. We aren’t a giant factory; we’re more of a specialized shop. When someone has a problem with a machine part that they can’t find anywhere else, they come to us. We spend a lot of time measuring things twice and cutting once. Even then, mistakes happen and we have to start over. It’s part of learning. We don’t talk much about "innovation" or "cutting edge" stuff. We just use the tools we have to get the job done properly. The floor is concrete and it’s hard on the knees, but we’ve got good mats. It’s a solid way to spend the day. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything. Most people find us because someone else told them we do okay work. That’s fine by us. We stay until the job is done, even if it gets late into the evening and the lights are flickering.
