Being out in Vasai Road East at Tirupati Industrial Estate No. 3 means we are away from the main city rush, but it’s still plenty busy. Our unit is G-1, right on the ground floor, which makes it easier for moving the heavy gear in and out. Navghar is a bit of a trek for some, but for us, it’s just where the work is. The estate has a lot of other workshops, so there is always the sound of grinding or welding coming from somewhere. We deal with a lot of hydraulic parts and components. Most of the day is spent checking seals or looking at pressure gauges. It’s a practical kind of job. The office part is just a small section partitioned off from the main floor. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running constantly. We don't really do much in the way of decoration. There are shelves full of metal parts and tools scattered around where they are used. We’ve been at this location for a while now. Most of our neighbors know us, and we sometimes borrow tools from each other if something breaks. It’s a simple setup. We take the train or ride our bikes to get here. When the monsoon hits, the roads around Navghar get a bit messy, but we still make it in. It’s just what we do every day without much fuss or overthinking.
