We have our small workshop set up behind Kamco at 8/1033. It’s been our base for quite a few years now. The space isn’t very large, but it’s enough for what we do with moulds and dies. Usually, you’ll find me or one of the guys covered in a bit of oil by mid-morning. It’s just the nature of the work we handle here. We don’t really do any big advertising or have a sales team. People mostly find us through word of mouth or if they happen to be passing by Kamco and see our sign. The machinery we use is old, but we keep it running well. Some days it gets pretty loud inside, especially when we are finishing a die. We don’t have an air-conditioned office or anything fancy like that. Just a desk with too many papers on it and some stools for when we take a break. We handle a lot of different metal projects. If someone needs a specific mould made, they just come in and show us their sketches. We talk it through and see what can be done. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it’s how we’ve always operated. The neighborhood is busy, so there’s always something going on outside our door at 8/1033. We just keep our heads down and focus on the metal in front of us. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady and honest work that we feel good about doing every day.
