You can find Adroit Elevators Private Limited at B-27 in the Evershine Industrial Estate. We are located in the Chinch Palda area of Vasai East. This is a real industrial zone, so don’t expect anything fancy. The building is basically a large shed where we keep all the elevator components and metal rails. It gets very hot under the tin roof during the summer months. We have a few fans going, but they mostly just move the warm air around. The sound of metal clanging is the background music of our workday. We have workers moving parts around on trolleys and technicians checking the wiring. Our office is just a small partitioned space in one corner with a couple of desks and a phone that rings constantly. Outside, the road is often unpaved in some spots, and puddles form when it rains. It’s a tough place to work, but the people here are used to it. We don't use any fancy management speak. We just look at the blueprints and make sure the lifts are built right. Most of us live nearby and walk or take a rickshaw to the estate. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It’s a simple operation where we focus on the hardware and getting the installations finished on time. That’s just the daily routine in Vasai. We keep working until the shutters go down.
