Variety And Grocery Store is our little business in Varanasi. You can find us in the Laxmanpur area, specifically in Shivpur. We are very close to the Sai Mandir, so a lot of people use that as a landmark to find us. Living and working in Varanasi is always interesting because there is so much history around. Our shop is just a regular grocery store for the people living nearby. We carry a bit of everything, which is why we call it a variety store. We have grains, soaps, tea, and all those daily things. It stays pretty busy because people are always coming to the temple. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside, but inside we just focus on the customers. I have been running this place with a little help from my cousin. We aren't a big corporation or anything. We just keep a simple ledger and make sure our stock is fresh. The shelves are usually full, but sometimes we run out of things if the truck is late. That is just how it goes with a small business in Laxmanpur. We like being here and seeing the same faces every morning. It makes the day go by faster when you can have a quick chat with the neighbors. We are just a simple shop for simple needs. Nothing more than that really.
