Our shop is right there by the Nagar Nigam, facing Nadesar along the Ram Nagar By Pass. It is a spot that gets a lot of wind and dust from the road, especially with the trucks zooming past all day long. Inside, it is a mix of glass sheets leaning against the walls and boxes of hardware stacked up wherever they will fit. You have to be careful where you step because there is usually a crate of hinges or some door handles sitting on the floor waiting to be sorted. We spend a lot of time cutting glass to size, which means there are always little shards and glass dust near the worktable. The light comes in quite well through the front, which helps when we are trying to match colors or see the finish on a piece of metal. It is not the quietest place to work, given the bypass is right there, but we are used to the noise by now. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit on the stools out front for a bit until it comes back on. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. Most folks just see us when they are driving by or they live in the neighborhood and need a new lock or a pane of glass replaced. It is just a straightforward hardware business where we do the work as it comes in from day to day.
