Vanshika Microfinance Foundation

We are the Vanshika Microfinance Foundation, based out of Madauli in Arvind Nagar. This is part of Varanasi, and we’ve been in this spot for a little bit now. Our address is 221108 for the postal code if you’re sending us something. The office is right in the middle of a busy neighborhood. There’s always noise from the street, bikes going by, and people talking. We’ve grown used to it. Inside, it’s just a regular setup. We have desks, some chairs for people who come to visit, and a lot of registers we keep our records in. We do a lot of work with money and small accounts, so we have to be careful with the details. It’s not exciting work, but it’s what we do. We spend a lot of time talking to the local people who come in. Everyone has a different story or something they need help with. We try to listen and get the paperwork done correctly. Varanasi is a busy city, and being in Arvind Nagar keeps us right in the thick of things. Sometimes it gets really hot in the office during the summer, so we have the fans going full blast. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything. It’s just a place where work happens. We eat our lunch together at the back table and usually talk about what’s for dinner or how the local cricket team is doing. It’s just a normal job for us and we keep at it daily.
