Vakratunda Foundation

Our place is tucked away in Lane No-3, specifically at 55/3 on the Madhauli Road over in the Varanasi Enclave. It is near Manduwadih and Bhullanpur, which can get pretty crowded during the peak hours of the day. We have been operating the Vakratunda Foundation from this spot for a while now. It is a simple setup, nothing that would win any design awards, but it works for what we need to do. Most of the people who help out here are from the local area, so we know the neighbors and the problems they face quite well. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or glossy brochures because that feels like a waste of resources that could go to someone who actually needs it. We focus on the basic stuff that makes a difference in people's lives. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, and we just have to sit and wait or do things the old-fashioned way with pen and paper. It’s a very grounded way of working. We aren't trying to change the whole world at once, just the little corner of Varanasi where we live and work. People know they can just drop by and talk to us if they have a concern. We try to be practical about things and don't make promises we can't keep. It’s just us doing our part in the community, day in and day out, without any fuss or unnecessary attention from the outside.
