Unique Silk Export

Our place is located at J-28/140 in the Jaitpura Agaganj area. It’s a part of town where a lot of people do the same kind of work we do. We handle silk exports, which means we spend a lot of time looking at threads and checking the looms. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where we can store the silk and do our work. It can get quite noisy when all the equipment is running in the neighborhood. We have large windows to let in the light, which helps when we are checking the colors of the fabric. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to sit and wait or work by the window light. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website that looks professional. It’s just us at Unique Silk Export, doing what we've always done. We pack the silk into crates and make sure the labels are right. There’s always a layer of fine silk dust on the tables. We drink a lot of water because it gets hot in the afternoons. Most of our days are spent checking and re-checking the quality of what we send out. It’s a quiet life in some ways, even with the noise of the street outside. We just keep moving forward and doing what needs to get done before the day ends.
