Uma Hospital

Our hospital is situated out on Bhadohi Road in the Kerakatpur area of Lohta. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but being on the main Bhadohi Road makes it easier to spot. The building stands out when you are coming down the road from the city. We have a lot of space out here compared to the more crowded parts of town. The area around Kerakatpur is a mix of open land and newer developments. It gets quite dusty on the road during the summer months, but we try to keep the hospital grounds as clean as possible. We spend our days walking the halls and checking on the rooms. It’s a functional building designed for hospital work, so it has that specific smell of cleaning supplies and medicine. There are usually a few cars parked out front and people coming in and out from the nearby villages. We’ve become a bit of a landmark on this stretch of Bhadohi Road. It’s not a quiet place, but it has its own kind of pace. The staff knows the regulars who pass by. We focus on the daily tasks at hand. It’s a hard-working environment where things are kept simple and honest. We are just here doing the work that needs to be done every single day for the people around here.
