Susheel Ojha

I’m just one person working out of Asana, which is a small place in the Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh. My address is quite simple since everyone around here knows everyone else anyway. I do various types of work depending on what is needed at the time, mostly focusing on things I can do from my desk here. It is very different from working in a big city office with lots of people around. Here, I can hear the birds and the sounds from the fields while I work. Sometimes I have to travel a bit to meet people, but mostly I stay right here in Asana. I don't have any employees or a big office building. It’s just me and my computer in a room at home. The electricity can be a bit unreliable sometimes, especially when there are storms, so I have to plan my work around that. It teaches you to be patient. I’ve lived in Chandauli most of my life and I like being able to work from here instead of moving away. My work is honest and I try to do my best for the people who hire me. I don’t have any fancy brochures or a sales team to find work for me. Usually, someone just tells a friend about me and that is how I get my next job. It is a quiet, steady way to live and work.
