Shubham Hospitals

Shubham Hospitals is located at S- 8/108-f-5 A on Maqbool Alam Road in the Khajuri area. It’s a busy part of the city and the road outside is always full of rickshaws and motorbikes. The building itself is kind of tucked in there. Inside, the floors are made of that old-style grey stone that stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We have a few rooms for patients and a small area where the nurses sit. The Maqbool Alam Road is quite narrow in places, so getting a car parked nearby can be a real headache for people. Most of the staff comes in on their scooters. The walls have some old paint on them and there are always stacks of files on the desks. We use those big ceiling fans that make a lot of noise but they keep the air moving. In the morning, you can hear the street vendors shouting their prices from the street. It’s a very local atmosphere. The doctors spend a lot of time talking to families in the hallways. We don’t have a big fancy lobby, just a small space with some chairs and a water dispenser that occasionally leaks a little bit. It feels like a part of the neighborhood because it’s been here for a good while. People from Khajuri just walk over when they feel under the weather. It’s a practical place, nothing too special to look at, but it’s always open.
