Shri Ramashray Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is out in the village of Niyardih, which is a bit of a drive from the main part of Varanasi. We operate from the home of Ramashrey Chaubey. It is a very rural setting, so things are pretty quiet compared to the city. The post office is right there in the village, which makes things easier for us. The Shri Ramashray Welfare Foundation was set up to help the people in our village and the surrounding areas because there is not much help out this way. We do not have a fancy building or any signage. Most people just know to come to the Chaubey house if they have a problem. We sit out in the courtyard or in the main room and talk things through. It is a very simple way of doing things. The roads can get pretty muddy when it rains, so some days nobody comes by at all. But when the weather is good, we are usually busy with something or other. We do not have a big staff of experts. It is just family and a few neighbors who want to help the community. We use our own resources mostly and just try to make life a little bit easier for the farmers and the local families who live around Niyardih. It is just home to us.
