Shivpur Babli Natural Bio-Energy Farmerproducer Company Limited

This company is a farmer producer organization located in Bahraich. It’s a bit of a long name, Shivpur Babli Natural Bio-Energy, but we are basically a group of farmers working together. The main person here is Kamla Pd Verma, who is the son of Tula Ram. We operate out of Tula Ram Gujrat Urwa, which is a local spot everyone in the village knows. We started this because it makes more sense for us to pool our resources when it comes to bio-energy and natural farming. It’s not like a regular company with a fancy office in a city. Our "office" is often just a porch or a room in a house where we all sit down on the floor or on wooden benches to talk about the crops. We focus on bio-energy because it's something we can actually do here with what we have. Bahraich is a place where people still live very close to the land. We spend a lot of time discussing seed prices and how to get better yields without using too many chemicals. There’s a lot of paperwork involved with being a formal company, and we help each other out with that part because it can be confusing. It’s a community effort more than anything else. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just know each other and work on the land together.
