Shishir Kant & Co is located at number 63 in Tagore Town. It’s up in the Bhojubeer area of Varanasi. It’s a bit of a residential feel around here compared to the main market areas, which is nice because it’s a little less hectic. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a part of the local streetscape. We’ve set things up inside so we can focus on the work we have to finish. There are usually stacks of folders on the tables and the printer is always making some kind of noise. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor. As long as there’s a place to sit and a working light, we’re good. Living and working in Varanasi means you deal with the heat and the crowds, but here in Tagore Town, it feels a bit more manageable. We started out with just a few things and have kept it going. It’s a small team, and we all know each other’s habits by now. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten at the desks. We don't have a big reception area or a secretary out front. It’s just us. People usually find us by asking around Bhojubeer if they get lost. It’s a straightforward way of living and working. No big corporate meetings or fancy presentations, just the daily grind of checking figures and keeping things organized in our little corner of the city. We keep it simple.
