If you know the Chowk area, you know how busy it gets. It’s always crowded with people, carts, and cows. Our place is No. Ck 58/53. It’s right in the middle of all that chaos. Shah Dwarka Das & Co. has a long history in this spot. The building is old, like most things around here. The walls are thick and the rooms are small. We have been doing business from this same address for generations. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find glass partitions or air conditioning in every room. We use fans and keep the doors open when we can. The noise from the market outside is just background music to us now. We deal with a lot of people every day. Some are old clients who have been coming to us for decades. We sit on floor mats or old chairs and talk through things. It’s a very traditional way of working. There’s no fancy software doing everything for us; we still rely a lot on personal trust and handwritten notes. The narrow lanes make it hard for cars to come in, so we mostly walk or use cycles. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't from here. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just stay here, keep our doors open, and serve the people who come to us. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from morning till night.
