Saryugiya Kunwar Foundation

Our foundation, Saryugiya Kunwar Foundation, is based in the village of Jahangirpur Sham. You can find us at Ganour Ray’s place in the local Tola. It’s a small village where everyone pretty much knows what everyone else is doing. We don’t have an office in a big tower or anything like that. We just use a room in the house to manage our affairs. Life in Jahangirpur Sham is quiet most of the time, except when there is a local gathering or a wedding. We started this foundation because we saw things that needed fixing in our own community. It wasn't about being famous or making a lot of money. We just wanted to help our neighbors out. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to get around, but we manage. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s just a few of us who grew up here and want to see the place do well. We spend a lot of time talking to the elders and the local families to see what they need. It’s very informal. You won't find us wearing suits or using big words. We just speak plain and try to be useful. If you are looking for us, just ask anyone in the village for Ganour Ray’s house. They’ll point you in the right direction. We take it one day at a time.
