Sai Raj Hospital

The hospital is situated on the road from Ghausabad to Nadesar, at S 17/79. It’s a pretty busy road, so there’s always someone passing by the front. We aren't one of those massive corporate hospitals you see in the big city centers. We’re a bit more modest than that. The building has been here for a while and you can tell by the way the stairs are worn down in the middle from all the feet. We have beds for people who need to stay over and a small area for outpatient visits. It’s a bit of a mix of everything. The hallway can get a bit crowded when families come to visit, and there is usually a lot of chatter near the main desk. We have nurses and staff moving around in their scrubs, trying to keep up with the charts and the medicine rounds. The smell of disinfectant is pretty strong some days, but that’s just how hospitals are. In Nadesar, people know us as the local spot to go when something is wrong. We don't have a big fancy lobby with fountains or anything like that. Just some sturdy chairs and a television that’s usually playing the news or a cricket match. The windows look out onto the street, so you can see the rickshaws and carts going by all day long. It’s a busy, functional place where we just get on with the work of looking after people.
