S General Store

S General Store is another one of those small spots on the main road in the Nadesar area of Varanasi. It is a busy stretch of Raja Bazar where things are always moving. We have been here for a good while, serving the people who live around this part of the city. Our shop is not very large, but we try to keep it filled with the things people use every day. You will find soaps, detergents, packets of biscuits, and basic cooking ingredients. We get a lot of people stopping by while they are commuting. It can get a bit chaotic when several people want things at the same time and we are trying to find where we put the new stock of tea leaves. The floors are a bit worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. We don't have a fancy display window or anything like that. Everything is just laid out so people can see what we have. Sometimes we run out of things because the delivery truck got stuck in traffic, but we just tell folks to come back the next day. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. We don't use any modern marketing. We just rely on being in a good spot and knowing the people around here. It is just a normal shop in a normal part of Varanasi.
