Real Enterprises

Our place, Real Enterprises, is located over in Dalmandi, near the Chowk Thana area. It’s right by where the Idea Tower is. Varanasi is a place where every corner has something going on, and Sarai Harha is no different. We deal with various items, mostly things that local businesses or households need in bulk or for their daily use. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular door in a busy street. Inside, we have stacks of stuff reaching up toward the ceiling. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or checking the handwritten ledgers. The 221001 zip code keeps us on our toes because there are so many people around. The traffic in Dalmandi can be a real headache when we're trying to get goods delivered to the door. We just do our best to stay organized amidst the chaos. Some days are slow and we just sit on wooden stools and watch the rickshaws go by. Other days, everyone seems to need something at the exact same time and the shop feels tiny. We don't use any high-tech systems, just our notebooks and a good memory for where everything is hidden on the high shelves. It’s been this way for a long time now. We know the other shopkeepers around here and we all just get through the day, making sure we have enough stock for the next morning when the sun comes up.
