Prabhakar General Store

Prabhakar General Store is tucked away in Laxmi Pur Naya Tola, right in the Vasudev Pur area. If you know where the CBD Mall is, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a busy spot most mornings. I spend my time arranging sacks of grain and making sure the shelves aren't too dusty. My family has been living around here for years, so we know most faces that walk through the door. It isn't a very large place, just a standard room filled with the usual stuff people need for their kitchens and homes. We’ve got soaps, oils, snacks for the kids, and some basic hardware items too. Some days the delivery trucks come late because of the traffic near the mall, and that gets a bit hectic. We usually open up quite early before the sun gets too hot. Most people stop by on their way back from work to pick up milk or a bit of salt they forgot to buy earlier. The floor is concrete and can get a bit worn out from all the walking, but it does the job. There is a small bench outside where some of the older men sit and chat sometimes when it’s not raining. We don't have fancy lights or big signs, just the name painted out front. It’s just how things are around here in our part of town. We keep things simple and try to have enough stock so people don't have to walk too far.
