Perfect Gents Parlour

Our shop is tucked away in Om Sai Complex over in the Lanka area of Varanasi. If you know the neighborhood, you know it stays busy with students and people heading toward the university. We've been running Perfect Gents Parlour from this same spot for a while. It’s a basic setup with just enough chairs for the guys who come in for a shave or a quick haircut before work. The complex itself has a lot of movement, so there’s always something to look at out the window. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle a pair of scissors and a razor. Varanasi can be a bit overwhelming with the noise, but we try to keep the shop feeling like a place where you can just breathe for twenty minutes. We usually have the radio playing some old songs or the news. People come in, talk about the weather or what’s happening in the city, and then go about their day. We aren't trying to be one of those high-end salons you see in malls. We just provide a steady hand and a place to sit. Sometimes it gets crowded on Sundays, so people have to wait on the bench outside, but nobody seems to mind much. It’s just how the routine goes around here in 221005. We stay open as long as there is work to do.
