You can find Om Surgical Center & Maternity Home at Patel Niwas, which is right across from the petrol pump on Ghazipur Road in the Paharia area. If you’re driving down the road and see the Surbhi Hotel, you’re basically there. It’s a busy location because of the petrol pump and the hotel, so there’s always noise from the traffic and people moving about. We have a mix of things going on here, from general surgeries to the maternity ward where new babies are born. It’s a strange but good combination to have new life and recovery under the same roof. The building itself, Patel Niwas, has a very local feel to it. It’s not a sterile corporate environment with expensive art. We have basic wooden chairs and some old fans that hum while you wait. The maternity side can get quite loud when there are several new mothers and their families visiting at once, but that’s just how it is. We don't try to hide the fact that we’re a small, local operation. We don't have a team of people in suits making decisions; we just decide things as they come up. Most of our patients come from the surrounding parts of Paharia and Ghazipur Road. They know us as a reliable spot where things get done without any unnecessary fuss or complicated procedures. It’s just a regular, working hospital for the people around here.
