Nayi Umang Janbenefit Foundation is on the ground floor, specifically at B-31/41-A-6-S in the Bhogabir area near Lanka in Varanasi. Varanasi is a very crowded and busy city, and the Lanka area is one of the busiest parts because of the university being nearby. Being on the ground floor is a big help because it means we don't have to deal with stairs when we’re carrying boxes or supplies. The space is a bit cramped, honestly, because the lanes here are so tight. We have some basic desks and a couple of computers where we spend most of our day. You can hear the rickshaws and the bikes constantly outside the window. It’s noisy, but that’s just the energy of Varanasi. Our address is a bit long, but once you find the Bhogabir landmark, it’s not too hard to spot us. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and a few notes pinned up. Sometimes the internet is slow, which can be frustrating when we have a lot of work to do. We usually get tea from the shop at the corner of the lane. It’s a very lived-in space, not some sterile corporate environment. We like being in the heart of the city where everything is happening.
