Working out of Gwal Das Sahu Lane in Varanasi is quite an experience every single day. Mittal Mutlitrade Llp is located at K 37/27, right in the middle of those narrow streets everyone talks about. If you’ve ever been to Varanasi, you know how it is. It’s crowded and noisy, but there’s a lot of energy. We do multi-trading, which basically means we deal with a lot of different kinds of goods. We aren’t a massive company. It’s just a small group of us trying to keep everything moving. The building we’re in is old, but it does the job. Some days the lane is so packed with people and rickshaws that it takes forever just to get to the door. We don’t have any polished brochures or a fancy sales pitch. We just talk to people and figure out what they need. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life here. We’ve been here for a while and we know the other shopkeepers around us. It’s a tight-knit community in this part of town. We don’t spend much time worrying about being the best or anything like that. We just focus on our trades and try to be fair with everyone we deal with. It’s a basic business run by regular people. We’re just here in the lane, doing our thing day in and day out.
