Anand Bandages Private Limited

You have to come up to the 4th floor at C- 21/ 4 A 1 in Maldahiya to find where we are. It is a bit of a climb, but that is where Anand Bandages Private Limited is set up. We spend most of our hours dealing with rolls of white cloth and various packaging materials. It is a very different environment compared to the noisy street level of Maldahiya. Up here, it is more about the sound of the machines running and the staff sitting together to pack the bandages into their boxes. We have piles of cotton and gauze everywhere you look. It is a very clean space because you cannot have dust getting into bandages. We do not have a big reception area or fancy furniture; the space is mostly used for the actual production and storage of the goods. Sometimes the elevator is slow, so we end up waiting around with the boxes ready to go out. We have been operating from this floor for some time now, and we have a rhythm down. The sun comes through the windows in the afternoon and lights up all the white fabric. It is a lot of repetitive work, cutting the material to the right size and making sure the edges are okay. People need these items for their health, so we just keep making them day after day. It is a practical business and we like being in this part of town.
