You can find Maharaja Ice Cream & Cake Parlour at Plot No.N-6/2 & Z-7 in the DLW area. We are located on Hydel Road, which is part of Sunderpur. This area has a lot of people living around it because of the DLW colony, so we get a good mix of neighbors and workers coming by. We do both ice cream and cakes, which keeps us pretty busy throughout the day. People often come in looking for a small cake for a birthday or just some ice cream because the Varanasi heat is no joke. The shop sits on a decent sized plot, so there is a bit of room around us. Hydel Road can get quite congested during the morning and evening hours when everyone is commuting. We spend a lot of time in the back handling the cakes and then coming to the front to serve the ice cream. It is a regular routine we have been following for a long time. The walls are painted a simple color and we have some glass cases to show what we have. We aren't trying to be a fancy cafe; we are just a local parlour where you can get something sweet. Sometimes we talk to the regulars about how the neighborhood is changing or how the traffic seems to be getting worse every year. It is a nice enough spot to work, and we just focus on keeping the shop running smoothly without making things too complicated for ourselves.
