Maa Vasnov Stores

Being located near the Trauma Center on Bhu Road in Varanasi means things are a little bit different for us at Maa Vasnov Stores. We see a lot of people in the Bhagwanpur area who are in a hurry or are looking for things they need urgently because of the hospital being so close by. It might be a bottle of juice, some tissues, or just a quick snack because they have been waiting for hours in the hospital halls. The shop gets pretty crowded during the day and the air is often full of dust from the road and the ambulances passing by. We try to keep the basic grocery items handy, like pulses, oil, and soap, so people can find what they need quickly. I usually spend my morning checking the crates and making sure the small fridge is running properly so the cold drinks are actually cold when someone wants one. The shop is a bit small and sometimes the new boxes of stock take up way too much floor space until I can find a spot for them on the shelves. Neighbors from around the 221005 area stop by too for their daily household needs and we usually chat about the weather or the traffic. It’s just a regular life here and there is nothing special about the way we run things. We just open the doors, sweep the front step, and wait for the first person of the morning to walk in.
