Jan Kalyan Clinic

We are over at Shop No. 3 in the Samrat Complex, right in the Chandua Chiturpur area of Sigra. Most people around Varanasi know the spot because it’s near the main market. We’ve been running Jan Kalyan Clinic for a good while now, mostly seeing people from the immediate neighborhood. The clinic isn’t very big, and the chairs in the waiting room have seen better days, but they’re comfortable enough for a short wait. You’ll find us easily if you’re walking through Sigra. Usually, it’s just the doctor and one person helping out at the front desk. We deal with the usual stuff like fevers, stomach aches, and general check-ups. It gets a bit noisy outside because of the traffic, but inside it’s mostly quiet. We don’t have any fancy machines or big posters on the walls. It’s just a plain room where we listen to what’s bothering you. Sometimes the door sticks a little when it’s raining, but we manage. We’ve seen kids grow up and bring their own kids here. It’s a local place for local people. There’s no need to make an appointment weeks in advance; people mostly just walk in when they’re feeling under the weather. We keep our hours pretty steady so you know when to find us. It’s a simple setup, but it works for what we do every day. We’re just part of the local landscape in this part of Varanasi. We try to keep things easy.
