Jai Jawan Pipe & Hardware

Jai Jawan Pipe & Hardware is located at Plot No. S-8/310-1 in Khajuri, Pandeypur. We are right near the Sudhakar Mahila P.G. College, so there’s always a lot of students walking by. It’s a lively neighborhood. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things, pipes and tools mostly. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is if you give us a minute to look. We started this business because hardware is something people always need. There’s no point in being fancy about it. We get our hands dirty and we spend a lot of time moving heavy stuff around. The floor is concrete and the walls are lined with shelves. Sometimes it’s a bit dark in the back, but we have a torch for that. We aren't trying to sell you things you don't need. We just provide the basics for people fixing up their homes or building something new. My brother and I run the place mostly. We have our regulars who come in for a chat as much as for the hardware. It’s a community thing. If the weather is nice, we sit outside on some stools for a bit. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer to arrive. It’s good work and it keeps us busy. We like being here in Pandeypur where everyone knows each other and things are simple.
