You can find us over at 9-A, Kasturba Nagar, in the Sigra area. We’ve been running Indian Art Co from this spot for a while. It’s not a huge place, but it serves us well for what we do. We mostly deal with traditional art pieces and things that show off the local skills people have around here. Our rooms are usually filled with paintings, small statues, and other decorative bits that we collect from different artists. It’s a bit of a dusty job, to be honest. We spend a lot of time cleaning things and making sure they don't get damaged while they’re sitting in the shop. We don't really have a sales pitch. If someone likes a piece of art, they buy it. We just tell them what it’s made of or where it came from if we know. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main market areas, which is nice when we’re trying to pack up delicate items for shipping. We use a lot of straw and cardboard to keep things safe. Sometimes the light in the shop isn't the best, so we have to take things outside to get a good look at the colors before they are sold. It’s a simple business run by people who just like seeing these things every day. We don't have a website that’s updated every five minutes. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and see what the day brings our way.
