Hindustan Construction Company Ltd.

We’ve been over here in Khewali village for a while now. It's a quiet spot outside the main Varanasi city, mostly fields and small houses around us. Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. isn't some fancy glass building; we're just part of the local landscape. My cousin and I started out doing small repairs, and it grew into what it is today. We spend a lot of time on site, dealing with the heat and the dust. Most of the people working here are from around the Tehsil. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know where to find us in the village. If you head past the post office, you'll see our equipment. It gets busy during the harvest season when labor is hard to find, but we manage. We do roads, walls, and whatever else needs building. It's tough work, especially when the monsoon hits and everything turns to mud. But that is just how it is in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We keep our tools ready and show up when there is a job to do. There is no complicated paperwork here, just honest labor. Sometimes we sit under the tree near the entrance and talk about the next project. We have seen the village change a bit over the years, and we have been lucky to be part of that change. It is just us, doing our thing day in and day out.
