Highway Hospital Swami Param Welfare Society

This branch is located at Amar Akhari Chauraha. Being right at the crossroads means we see a lot of activity throughout the day. The chauraha is a busy spot where everyone seems to meet up or pass through. Our focus here is on welfare, which means we see a lot of people who really need a hand. It’s not a glamorous job, but it feels important. The building is simple and we don’t spend money on fancy decorations because that's not what the people here need. We have benches for people to sit on while they wait, and the fans are usually humming away to keep the air moving. It can get pretty loud with the traffic outside, but you get used to the honking and the shouting after a few days. Our staff is used to working hard and staying late if there’s a lot of people still waiting to be seen. We don't have a lot of corporate meetings; we just talk to each other and figure out who needs help first. Sometimes we run out of certain supplies and have to wait for the next delivery, but we make do with what we have. It’s a very grounded, practical environment. We are just a group of people at a busy intersection trying to make things a little better for the folks who come to us for help. That is just how the Swami Param Welfare Society operates. We are here every day.
