Hand Made Art Export

You can find us over at Misir Pokhra, at Plot No. D-48/216. We’ve been working out of this space for some time now. Hand Made Art Export is mostly about the items we handle every day. The area here is a bit tucked away, which is nice because it isn't as loud as the main roads. We spend our hours looking over the pieces that come in from the local makers. There is usually dust from the packing materials and the smell of wood or fabric in the air. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the routine. The building isn't new, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We use the back area for storage and the front for inspecting things and doing the billing. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just wait it out or work by the windows. It’s a simple way of doing business. We don't use much technology besides the basic computer for emails and keeping the logs. Most of the people who come by are the craftsmen or the truck drivers picking up the crates. We try to keep things organized, but when a lot of art arrives at once, the floors get covered pretty quickly. It’s just the way it is in a small export house like ours. We don't mind the mess much.
