We are located at the Gau Ashray Kendra in Shahansapur. This is part of the Raja Talab Tehsil in Varanasi. It’s a bit outside the main city, which is exactly where we need to be. Gobardhan Varanasi Foundation-Spv is tied closely to this place. Shahansapur is a quiet area, much different from the crowded ghats of Varanasi. Being at the Gau Ashray Kendra means we are surrounded by animals and nature every day. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have a typical office with cubicles. Our work happens out in the open or in simple rooms near the center. We deal with things related to the land and the animals here. It’s practical, hands-on work. We don't have a marketing budget or a team of writers. We just do what needs to be done for the foundation. Raja Talab is our local hub. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We like it that way because they understand the soil and the life here better than anyone else. Our day starts early, usually with the sun. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule. We just work until the day’s tasks are finished. It is a very simple, honest life we lead here. We aren't trying to be anything big or famous. We just want to do right by the animals and the land in Shahansapur.
