Deepak Hair Cutting & Gents Parlour

Our little shop is located on Samne Ghat Road in the Lanka area of Varanasi. It’s a busy street with people heading towards the river or the university area. We’ve been cutting hair here for the local residents and students for quite a while. The shop is simple, with just the essential chairs and tools we need. Varanasi is a place where things move at their own pace, and we try to keep that same feeling inside. People come in, sit down, and talk about what’s happening in the neighborhood while we get to work. It’s a place where you can get a clean shave or a standard haircut without spending too much. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few houses away. The dust from the road sometimes blows in, but we try to keep the place as clean as we can. It’s a small operation, usually just one or two of us working the chairs. We don’t have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people find us just by walking past on their way to the ghat or the market. We take pride in just doing a steady job every day. It’s a humble spot, but it’s been part of the Lanka community for years. We just keep our scissors moving and the tea flowing for anyone waiting their turn. It is just a part of the daily life on Samne Ghat Road.
