Khushi Society For Social Services

We are over in Azad Nagar, specifically Ward No. 9 in the Chandauli district. Khushi Society For Social Services is the name we use. It’s a local effort, really. We spend our time looking at what’s going on in the neighborhood and trying to be useful. Chandauli is a quiet place most of the time, and our corner in Azad Nagar is no different. We don't have a big budget or a fancy office building. It’s just a room where we meet and talk about things that need doing. Sometimes it's helping someone with paperwork, other times it's just being there. We aren't a big city operation with lots of rules. We just know the people around here. My neighbors know where to find me if something comes up. We don't do much in the way of publicity. If people need us, they usually just walk over or ask a friend. It’s a grassroots kind of thing, I suppose. We’ve been in Ward No. 9 for quite a while now. The work isn't always easy, and sometimes we wonder if we're making a dent, but we keep showing up. It’s just what you do when you live in a place like this. Khushi Society is just us trying to help out where we can. There isn't any glory in it, just the daily task of living and helping neighbors. We don't ask for much, we just stay busy here.
