Baba Dukhharan Nath Foundation

Baba Dukhharan Nath Foundation is run out of Gonda, specifically over in Jawahar Nagar. We’re set up at Hari Prasad’s place, which most people around here know. It’s not a big commercial building or anything. It’s just a regular spot in the 221002 area where we can sit down and get to work. Being in UP, especially in a place like Gonda, you see a lot of folks who just need a bit of a hand with daily life. We named the foundation after Baba Dukhharan Nath because that name means a lot to the people in this part of the country. It’s about being there for others when things get tough. We spend most of our mornings just clearing out the mail and talking to whoever walks through the gate. There is no reception desk or fancy waiting room. You just come in and find a chair. The neighborhood is Kashi Ram, so it’s pretty packed and there’s always something happening right outside the door. We try to keep things simple. We don't have a lot of money to spend on advertising, so we just rely on people telling their friends about us. It’s slow going sometimes, and the heat in the summer makes everything feel harder, but we keep at it. Working from a home address like this means we’re always around. It’s not a nine-to-five kind of thing. People know where to find us when they need something.
