Baba Clinic

Baba Clinic is tucked away in the Lanka area. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights or anything like that. People in Lanka know where we are. It’s mostly a walk-in kind of setup. We see a lot of people from the neighborhood. Some have been coming to us for years. It’s a small space, so you might end up standing if the chairs are full. We deal with the usual stuff like seasonal flu, stomach upsets, and small injuries. The area around Lanka can be quite busy, especially during the day. We try to keep things simple here. The doctor sees one person at a time and we go through the list. It’s not a corporate hospital with lots of departments. It’s just a local clinic for local people. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. The walls are plain and the floor is swept every morning. We just focus on the patients who come through the door. Sometimes people come in just to ask a quick question about their medicine. We don't mind. It’s part of being in a community like this. The clinic has its own rhythm. Some days are slow and we can have a tea, and other days there’s a line out the door before we even open. That’s just the way it goes here in Lanka. We’ve been here a long time and plan to stay for the future.
