B. B. Sarees

Our shop, B. B. Sarees, is tucked away at K. 40/75 Bhaironath, right near Golghar. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty crowded, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is out shopping. We’ve been handling fabric and thread for a long time. It’s a family thing, really. The shelves are packed with all sorts of colors, and sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to move around when a few people come in at once. We don't have big flashy lights or a team of salespeople. Usually, it’s just one or two of us sitting there, ready to pull down boxes and show what we have. It gets dusty, and the floor could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for us. People come by because they know we've been in this spot for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the city. We just want to make sure the sarees we sell are decent and that the prices are fair for what you get. It’s a lot of work folding everything back up at the end of the day, but that’s the business. Sometimes we have tea with the shopkeeper next door when things are slow. It’s just a normal life here in Bhaironath, keeping things moving one customer at a time.
