Anzar Alam & Co

Anzar Alam & Co is situated right at the Girrja Ghar Crossing in the Godowlia area. It’s one of the busiest spots in all of Varanasi, so there’s never a quiet moment. Our office is on the second floor of the Chaturwedi Building. Getting there through the Godolia traffic can be an adventure, especially during the festival seasons. The building is older, with high ceilings and a bit of history to it. We like it because it’s right in the heart of everything. The office itself is quite basic. We have some wooden desks, plenty of shelves for our records, and a few chairs for visitors. It’s not a place for luxury, just a place for work. We spend our time going through documents and talking to the people who stop by. The sounds of rickshaws and bells from outside are always in the background. It’s a very local feel. We often send someone down to get snacks or tea from the vendors nearby. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, so we get our exercise every day. Being at Girrja Ghar means we are easy to find if you can handle the crowds. We just do our bit, keep our records straight, and manage the daily flow of business. It’s a practical way to work in a city that’s always moving. No fancy titles or polished floors here, just a group of us working in a historic part of town. That's our daily life.
