Anjali Music Center & Wooden Toys

Our shop, Anjali Music Center & Wooden Toys, is located at Shop No. D 29/7 in Devnathpura, which is right by the Post Office in Madanpura. We have a bit of an unusual mix here because we sell both musical instruments and traditional wooden toys. The shop is quite small, so it is often packed with harmoniums, tablas, and colorful hand-painted toys. It smells like old wood and polish inside. We spend a lot of time tuning instruments or dusting off the toys on the higher shelves. Being near the India Post Office means there are always people around, and sometimes they wander in just to look at the wooden figures. We aren't a big commercial store. Most of our items are made by hand or come from small craftsmen. We don't have a website or a fancy catalog, we just show people what we have in the shop. It can be a bit cluttered, and sometimes it's hard to move around without bumping into a drum or a wooden horse, but that’s the charm of the place. We’ve been in Devnathpura for many years and many of the local families come to us when they want a gift for a child or a new instrument for their home. We just stay here, keep the door open, and chat with whoever comes in while we work on our inventory. It's a quiet, simple way to run a shop and we like it that way.
