If you look for House No. 76 near the Power House in Dharnidharpur, you’ll find us easily. Being so close to the power station means everyone in the area knows the landmark. The office is basically just a few rooms where we keep our records and meet with people from the village. It gets a bit dusty during the dry season, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the tables. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a handful of us who live close by and know the local roads. Most days are pretty routine. We open up early, sweep the front step, and wait for whoever needs to settle their accounts. The chairs aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. We often have the radio playing quietly in the background while we work on the registers. It’s a straightforward operation without any hidden layers. We do our own cleaning and buy our own tea leaves from the shop down the road. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power house is busy, but we’re used to it by now. People come to us because we are right here in Dharnidharpur and we don’t make things complicated. It’s just a regular local business run by regular people who grew up around here. We just want to keep things going as they have been for years. There is always plenty of work to keep us occupied.
