Singh Building Material

Our shop, Singh Building Material, is located at No. 11 in Nadesar. We are quite close to the Om Sai Mandir in the Chaukaghat area. It’s a landmark that most people use to find us since the streets can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. We deal with all sorts of things people need for construction. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The space is filled with stacks of stuff, and it can get a little cramped when we get a big shipment in. We don’t have a website or anything fancy. Usually, someone just stops by because they saw our sign or a neighbor told them we were here. We try to be helpful without making a big deal out of it. Chaukaghat is a lively place to work. There is always something happening outside our door. We’ve been here long enough to know most of the people who walk past every day. It’s just a regular business run by regular people. We don't use big words to describe what we do. If someone needs sand or cement or whatever, we just see if we have it and let them know the price. It’s a straightforward way to run things. We close up when the work is done and start again the next morning. It's a busy life but it keeps us going and we like the routine.
